Commanding Officers Lieutenants Kevin & Wendy Brown Lieutenants Kevin & Wendy Brown are the new Officers (ministers) at Waterbeach Salvation Army. This is their first appointment having spent two years at William Booth College for Salvation Army Officer Training in London. They originate from Carlisle, Cumbria where they lived until taking up their training in 2007. They have been married for 26years and have two daughters Samantha, age 25 who lives in Carlisle and Claire, age 23 who lives in Newcastle. Before entering the training college Kevin was Parts Manager at a local agricultural company dealing mainly with John Deere Tractors and Wendy was a civilian employee for Cumbria Constabulary. They are also avid football fans, having supported their local team Carlisle United for many years and their hope to see their team play nearby teams in the future. They are both looking forward to their ministry and hope to be involved in the local community and working alongside other denominations present in the locality of Waterbeach and Landbeach. They have both felt the warmth and friendliness of the local people and have quickly felt at home, they are keen to build relationships and familiarize themselves with a new area and culture.
